Parting the Red Sea

When Moses was leading his people out of Egypt, the Red Sea parted so his people could cross. But when the Egyptian army tried to cross the Red Sea, the Sea filled up again and the army was drowned. This miracle was created so that the people could reach the Promised Land and come home after a thousand years of slavery. This story demonstrates how the universe moves when we are moving in harmony with our highest and best path.

Sometimes in our life it seems like many obstacles show up just when we think all is going well. At first glance it looks like the universe is punishing us and setting obstacles in our way. But when look more closely we see a different picture. The universe is moving the obstacles out of our way. The obstacles that appear are caused by our past actions due to going in the wrong direction for so long. Then one day we find our right path and enthusiastically move in a better direction. When we take our first few steps, the universe confirms our wishes and we feel good. Then, all of a sudden, everything seems to get blocked. What is happening? Are we being punished? Did we make a mistake and this was not our best path after all? Our mind is filled with doubts.

The universe cannot forget the momentum from our past. Even though we are taking the right steps, the momentum from the past rises up in front of us and presents an obstacle to our goal. This is only a clearing of past energy. Let it pass and relax. The universe will move again and the door will be opened. The parting of the Red Sea is a story that reminds us not to loose faith in our goal. It is often a test of our faith that the universe presents in front of us to see if we really believe in our spiritual goal. If we relax and trust the universe, the universe is happy that we did not loose faith and gives us a miraculous reward. What seemed like an impossible obstacle suddenly disappears as quickly as it appeared and we can continue on our way without a problem.

The main message is never loose faith. If what you desire is in your highest interest, the universe might test you before the door can open. Once you demonstrate your faith in your goal, the universe comes to help you to achieve it. When you receive insight that guides you in a new direction, have faith in what you know and keep going. When the obstacle shows up, keep your faith and trust the universe to help you even in the face of great challenges. Trust your heart and the universe will provide.
